Changing The Head Count In Heaven

Do you ever wonder what your purpose is? Do you ever think “am I doing anything of value?” Do you wish you had meaning in the life you live? Are you a Christian who thinks that you are unimportant or irrelevant because you are not in church leadership?

What if I told you that everyday you have the opportunity to do something with the most important purpose! What if I told you everyday there can be meaning more valuable than any job could pay! What if I told you that you could change the number of people in heaven! What if I told you that you could be working right along side God doing what matters most to Him! What if I told you that you could impact someone’s life for eternity!

Take a look at these scriptures:

James 5:19,20. “My brothers, if any among you strays form the truth, let him know that whoever turns a sinner from the error of his way will save his life from death and cover a multitude of sins.”

Jude 11:22,23. “Have mercy on those that doubt: save others by snatching them from the fire.”

1 Timothy 4:16. “Pay close attention to your life and your teaching: persevere in these things, for by doing this you will save both yourself and your hearers.”

1 John 5:16. “If anyone see his brother committing a sin that does not bring death, he should ask, and God will give him life, to those who commit sin that doesn’t bring death.”

You, dear friend, have an awesome roll to play in the kingdom of God. You have influence in people’s lives with regards to salvation. YOU can make a difference. You can be fishing for men.

If you ever wake up empty and everyday is just another of the same old thing, then you are missing out on what God calls “abundant life.” When you are doing the will of God you will be nourished and satisfied. Jesus said “My food is to do the will of God.” John 4:34.

Are you doing the will of God or are you doing meaningless activities that leave you empty? Are you sitting by while others are headed for hell and you have the ability to snatch them from the fires?

Do you want purpose and meaning? God has already gave them to you. Jesus said “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to the whole creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved.” Mark 16:15, 16.

Thank you, Jesus, for letting me be part of your plan for salvation. Stir within me the care and compassion for a lost and dying world. Embolden me with courage and wisdom to speak your word without compromise. Amen
